Assignment for Missed 11/14 class and HW due 11/16

Due to the fact that I missed class because of an illness, I was not able to teach class today. However, I do have an assignment and HW for you to do.

By this time, you should have the rough draft of your outline completed. In order to help you revise your outline and bring in that outline to class on Weds. 11/16, you need to follow the below steps:

Post your outline as a comment to this post--you must post the outline by Monday at midnight. If you don't post it by this deadline, you will not get credit for attending class today.

Post suggestions to two other outlines. You must post it by Tuesday at 5pm or you will not get any credit for this assignment. I want your suggestions to be as detailed and helpful as the ones you do in class, or you will not get credit for this homework. Here are some elements of the outlines your suggestions must address:

What needs to be changed to have the thesis supported more.


What needs to be changed about the thesis.


What needs to be expanded.


What needs to be deleted.


What parts need further sources to back up the thesis more.


Any other suggestions to help revise outline.

Your HW due Weds. 11/16 in class: Take into account the revision suggestions from your peers and revise your outline. Bring this revised outline to class.
